NH –353 I WADI - ASOLA

Wadi, located in the Nagpur district of Maharashtra, is a significant village and municipal council. It boasts connectivity to National Highway NH-53, National Highway NH-353I, and National Highway NH-353J, enhancing its accessibility and transportation links.

The project underway in Wadi involves establishing a road route that connects the village to Asola, adjacent to the Samruddhi Mahamarg, also known as the Nagpur-Mumbai Super Communication Expressway. Once completed, this project will rank among the country’s longest greenfield road initiatives. RKC plays a crucial role in facilitating access to the expressway from both the Wadi and Asola sections.

Scale, Speed, Sensitivity

Scale, speed, and sensitivity have been key considerations in our approach. Leveraging the expertise gained from prior work in regional areas, our team has introduced several groundbreaking elements to meet the project’s fundamental requirements.

Commencing in September 2017, the project began with a dedicated team of 20 specialists and is now progressing towards the final stages of successful completion and commissioning.

Programme Certainty And Integrated Delivery

Our design and construction process ensures greater certainty in terms of program adherence and cost management for the client. Through strategic planning, we have streamlined the program, ensuring timely delivery without compromising on quality. Our commitment to on-time and on-budget project execution is unwavering.

Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, the project has continued to progress as planned. The project’s adherence to program schedules, excellent safety record, and delivery of high-quality outcomes can be attributed, in large part, to our utilization of digital engineering and off-site manufacturing techniques.

Community Engagement

Community engagement holds significant importance in our project delivery strategy. We recognize and tap into local expertise while supporting the local economy.

Our commitment involves allocating 50% of the project’s value to local workers and suppliers, initiating employability support programs, and creating employment and apprenticeship opportunities for the local community.

We take pride in awarding a substantial percentage of work packages to local businesses, and we have implemented an inclusive strategy for engaging Indigenous businesses.
